Charted Territory explores the intergenerational question: “What does it mean today to be the Black descendant of African slaves, their children, and their children’s children in America?” The curated collection of video, photo, writings and installations explore inherited traumas within racial ambiguity, refugee resettlement and affective geography of historical and shared spaces.The exhibition also aims to engage audiences in meaningful discourse of African¬ American and African Studies; Hithe and Alejo’s respective minors, from their Visual Arts Media conceptual training.
