A Solo Exhibition by Arpie Shekoyan
February 23 - 26, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Reception: Wednesday 6:00 - 8:00 PM

This exhibition is a series of collages that explores the history and issues concerning the Orientalism and the colonial gaze. By deconstructing famous works and using craft based materials, Arpie Shekoyan appropriates these paintings that are taught and and often embraced in Western Art history to create a bridge between the past and present problematic nature of representation.
