Artist Bio

Trevor Amery is an M.F.A. candidate in the visual arts department at UC San Diego. He attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013 and received a B.F.A. in painting from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2005. Amery was a Fulbright scholar to Hungary in 2012, received a Santo Foundation Individual Artist Award in 2014, and have participated in residencies at the Fountainhead Residency in Miami, Arteles Creative Center in Finland, and the Contemporary Artist Center at Woodside in New York.

He was represented the U.S. at the 2012 Kathmandu International Art Festival and have had solo exhibitions at Grizzly Grizzly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Skanzen Museum in Szentendre, Hungary, and Galerie Birthe Laursen in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have participated in many group exhibitions, namely at MAMU Galerie in Budapest, Hungary, Moore College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, City Without Walls and Panepinto Gallery in Newark, New Jersey, The Creative Alliance in Baltimore, Maryland, and Ptarmigan in Tallinn, Estonia. And will be participating in the Destabilizing Dystopia exhibition at the University of Alberta in Canada this April.
