Shoot The Lobster LA is pleased to present a performance by Angela Jennings.

Angie Jennings is an artist who investigates hierarchical systems of circumstance, often employing strategies of subversion through satire. (b.1984, Bloomington, Indiana) Jennings received her MFA from UCSD, a BS in Art Education from South Dakota State University along with a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Studio Art from Brandeis University. Jennings has attended La Pocha Nostra Summer School, The Abramovic Method Workshop, and is a former student of Performance Art 101 with Kembra Pfahler. Recent awards, performances, and exhibitions include: MOCA Tucson, AZ, 2016 Rijksakademie Residency Runner-up, Joan Mitchell Foundation Emerging Artist Grant Nominee, Human Resources, Los Angeles, The Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, NADA Fair, New York, Galerie Christine Myer, Munich, LAST Projects, Los Angeles, OCHI PROJECTS, Los Angeles, Highways Performance Space, Los Angeles, Commonwealth & Council, Los Angeles, Perform Chinatown, Los Angeles, The Mingei International Museum, San Diego, SPF15, San Diego, New Media Caucus/CAA Conference, New York, Spinello Projects, Miami. Jennings currently lives and works in San Diego.
