POSTPONED

Due to unforeseen weather conditions that could potentially affect the integrity of the installation, Audrey Hope's “Dreams of Pentecost” will be rescheduled as a solo exhibition in our main gallery space in early summer 2018. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Here we are, in the second week of Lent. I think of Lent as Catholic hibernation - a time to lie deep under a heavy blanket, perhaps one filled with rocks and vibrators. Do you want to touch the blanket? You can, but only if you are on your way to getting underneath of it. I’m serious.

Are you dreaming now, of the Holy Spirit? She is coming down into you. She will emanate out. Do you see the flames creeping up into the forest overhead? Your great grandfather planted those redwoods, but that’s just a brag. Your father built this campsite, where now you are a prisoner, without a home. So much dad stuff, bubbling up. Mom is pissed.

Remember the time that I ordered one vibrator off of Amazon, and they sent me fifty? I had to send them back, but it got me thinking, what would I do with fifty vibrators?
