The UC San Diego Department of Visual Arts and MCASD have long collaborated to bring internationally acclaimed artists to San Diego through the annual Russell Lecture program. Established by one of MCASD’s founding docents and longtime UCSD supporter, Betty Russell, this year’s lecture features Tacita Dean, British Artist, who currently lives and works in Berlin and is known for her films, cinematic drawings and paintings evoking time and memory with fictional and historical narratives that raise possible chance encounters.

This program is free for  UCSD students and faculty and Members; $5 non-UCSD students; $15 general admission.
