I did my undergraduate education at the University of California, Riverside and graduated in 2011, working very closely with Malcolm Baker and specializing in eighteenth century Anglo-French art, particularly sculpture. After graduation, I enrolled in a Master's of Art program at the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom. There, I was under the tutelage of Rosie Dias, and together we worked on eighteenth century history painting, looking very closely at Benjamin West and the notion of an "American" school of painting in London. After completing my Master's, I worked as a graduate intern at the Huntington Library and was accepted into the PhD program at the University of California, San Diego.

Other extracurricular interests include: competitive road cycling, music production and live music performance!
