Son of Man/Sun of Man

By Lili Chin

This performance is named after a painting by Rene Magritte. Lili Chin will fast for four days, ahead of a silent two-day communal performance involving a series of objects and the activities of reading and writing. On the third day, an ‘event’ will occur, in an attempt to capture an epiphany with the sun.

Start Time: 3:30 pm
Duration: All three days, viewers are encouraged to come at sunset on Thursday the 4th
Location: Hubbs Hall, 3rd floor veranda

Lili’s performance was a relaxing sensation on the mind and body. Located at the cliff edge the Pacific Ocean allowing your mood to change with the rhythm of the tides. Based on a combination of ancient rituals and modern day experimentation. She created a space of contemplation well stimulating participants with her elixir.
