Undergraduate Academic Advising

VIRTUAL ADVISING CENTER

All UC San Diego undergraduate students may contact an advisor using the Virtual Advising Center which is open 24 hours a day.  Submit any questions to the VAC and use the “Ask a Question” tab.  Your question will be answered within two business days.

Prospective students, or community members may email vis-ug@ucsd.edu.  Questions from UC San Diego undergraduate students sent to vis-ug@ucsd.edu will not be answered.

Declaring Majors or Minors

Students may declare a major or minor by visiting the Major and Minor tool on TritonLink.  For further instructions, see Majors/Minors.

Academic Advising Hours

Advising times listed are walk-in. Appointments can be made 24 hours in advance by
calling 858-534-2860. Hours are subject to change without notice. The ending times
listed are when advising will STOP. Please watch for postings about other department
closures.

To make an appointment, please call 858-534-2860. 15-minute slots are available during the times listed above.  Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
