Alexis Hithe is a filmmaker and media artist. (Re)tracing through trajectories of the past and present she works to pull closer a future that can be imagined beyond the colonial-carceral state. Her studies most often orbit Trans-Atlantic Black/African spirituality, history, culture, writing and theory. As a San Diego fellow she is focusing her experiments and research on video and light projection and object installation.
