Biography:
MFA 2020
Ryne Heslin is a materials organizer, analyzing collectives of things and how those things behave in the real. Through the use of everyday signifiers codified into assemblages, they explore emergent relational networks within and between the viewer, the component parts, and themself--always already embedded within universal and contextual systems of myth, meaning, and interpretation. Diverse research topics from quantum physics to social theory develop intertextual feedback loops, which then steer potential critical investigations and work production. Heslin received a BFA in Studio Art from University of South Florida, and is currently pursuing an MFA at UC San Diego.
