Professor Emeritus Fred Lonidier: "This is a music department performance of new music conducted by Prof. Tom Nee. It was in the former Marine bowling alley which became the art department's gallery. Music often used it for performances as well. On the walls are paintings by Alex Katz which David Antin curated from NYC. One of the performers on the piano was Jeff Raskin who started Harold Cohen on computing. Jeff taught computing in arts classes and I was his TA when he taught an Intro to Photography class. Later he joined Apple and chose the Macintosh as the apple for their famed logo. A number of years ago, I saw an obit for him in the L.A. Times: a tragic young death for a man of many talents and great generosity... It is one of several times I photographed events in that space."
