Kathryn Barulich



Kathryn Barulich is an Art History Theory and Criticism PhD student. Her research interests focus on modern and contemporary art, French nationalism, and language. She is interested in the social, cultural, and political production of national identity and its deployment as visual culture. She completed a Masters degree in History and Theory of Contemporary Art from San Francisco Art Institute, with a focus on the linguistic and aesthetic strategies deployed by Dada artists working in interwar France. Previously, she studied Art History and French Language and Literature at Fordham University.
