Biography:

Summer 2023 PhD graduate

Maia Nichols, born in Berkeley, holds degrees in both Psychology and Visual Art from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and an M.A. in Aesthetics and Politics from the California Institute of the Arts. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally and her writing has appeared in Flash Art International, Hyperallergic, SFAQ, Carla, and Diagram, among others. She is currently a doctoral candidate at UC San Diego in Art History, Criticism and Theory.
